As avid cyclists hoping to age comfortably in their beloved midcentury modern home, they needed a thoughtful solution. We started by listening, learning how they live, what matters most, and where the space fell short. In partnership with Bluewater Custom Builders, we reimagined the room as a multi-functional space that could work as a laundry room, a wet room for aging in place, and a convenient bicycle cleaning station just off their garage.

What we loved most about this project was seeing it transform from an underutilized room to a lived-in space that aligns with their daily routines. Together, we created a solution that balances their practical needs with the midcentury modern aesthetic they’re drawn to, proving that beauty and practicality can live in harmony.
